The AGPB association expects France to produce almost 36 million tonnes of common wheat this year, up 23% from the previous year. It added that grain quality from the rain-affected harvest was very mixed.
A sizeable recovery in French output eases European supply tightness, though mixed quality limits how much of the crop can be sold into export milling demand, a mildly bearish factor for wheat prices.
