NDSU analyst Frayne Olson warns that early South American soybean harvests may narrow the export window for U.S. soybeans to China. Local basis in the Dakotas and Minnesota remains strong due to a short crop from drought and demand from the Pacific Northwest.
An earlier South American supply advantage could pressure U.S. export demand and price, while strong regional basis currently supports local cash bids.
