USDA reported private exporters sold 1.84 million metric tons of corn to Mexico, with 1.09 million tons for 2021/22 and 754,000 tons for 2022/23 delivery. Exporters also sold 130,000 metric tons of soybeans to China for 2021/22 delivery.
Steady flash sales to Mexico and China support US corn and soybean export demand and near-term cash prices. Sales of this size are routine, so the price effect is modest.
