Argentina's grains inspectors union URGARA began a 24-hour strike over bonus payments. Port activity and shipments were not affected, though the strike hit non-port storage centers and trucks delivering grain to terminals.
Port exporters said they had reserves to operate for several days.
Argentina is the top exporter of processed soybeans, so a prolonged strike could tighten meal supply, but the limited impact and seasonal low export period mean little immediate price pressure on soybean meal.
