Corn growers asked U.S. companies to withdraw anti-dumping and countervailing duty petitions on imported fertilizer, citing record fertilizer prices. Preliminary duties of up to 137% on UAN from Russia and Trinidad and up to 47% on phosphate from Russia and Morocco were noted.
Duties on fertilizer imports tighten nitrogen and phosphate supply, raising input costs for corn and feed producers and supporting grain price levels.
