Australia is forecast to produce another large grain crop in 2022/23, though yields fall from last year's records. Wheat output is projected to drop to 29 MMT as high input costs lead farmers to cut area, with exports falling 5.5 MMT from the record.
Sorghum and barley production are also forecast lower.
Lower Australian wheat, sorghum and barley exports next season tighten feed-grain supply, supporting world prices for these grains.
