FAS USDA expects Australia to produce another large grain crop in MY 2022/23 after record winter and summer crops in 2021/22. Yields are set to fall from record levels, lowering wheat and barley exports from this year's highs, while sorghum output declines and rice output keeps growing.
A smaller Australian wheat and barley crop next year reduces export supply from a major origin, which supports feedgrain and wheat prices relative to a record-export year.
