The Bangladesh government purchase committee approved buying 90,000 tonnes of fertiliser from Qatar and Morocco under state-to-state contracts. Triple super phosphate from Morocco was bought at $687.25/t, below the previous $914/t, while urea from Qatar was priced at $724.5 to $733.33/t, above earlier purchases.
Bangladesh is building fertiliser stocks amid supply uncertainty, and mixed price moves across products show urea remains firm while phosphate is easing, which affects input costs for feed grain producers in the region.
