Brazil is set to sharply increase soybean oil and soybean meal exports this year, with some observers expecting gains of up to 30% year on year. The shift reflects expanded soybean plantings and comes as Argentina's slow crush pace tightens its soy oil availability.
Larger Brazilian export supply of soy oil and meal could help fill the gap left by slower Argentine crushing, which would limit upward pressure on world vegetable oil and meal prices.
