WTI crude fell after the Federal Reserve raised rates by 0.75% for the third consecutive meeting and sharply cut its growth projections through 2024. The US dollar index climbed to a 20-year high on the decision.
Lower growth expectations reduce expected fuel demand, pressuring crude. A stronger dollar also makes US-priced commodities more expensive abroad.
