The euro rose for a seventh straight session to a nine-month high of about 1.0929 against the dollar, as ECB remarks pointed to 0.5% hikes at the February and March meetings. The dollar index fell to eight-month lows near 101.50 ahead of US fourth-quarter GDP data.
A weaker dollar index generally supports US commodity prices in global markets and can encourage more export demand, though the effect on feed prices is usually modest.
