World stocks rallied and the dollar edged up from eight-month lows on Friday after slowing inflation data raised hopes the Federal Reserve can achieve a soft landing and slow its tightening. Futures priced the Fed's policy rate peaking slightly higher around 4.9% in June, then easing to about 4.47% by December.
A softer dollar and expectations of eventual rate cuts tend to support commodity prices and make dollar-denominated feed ingredients cheaper for foreign buyers.
