Pound Sterling Extends Gains against Euro and Dollar on post-Fed Relief

Sterling extended its weekly gains against the euro and dollar after the Federal Reserve raised rates by 75 basis points and signaled no acceleration in its hiking pace. Stock markets rallied on relief that the Fed did not double down on inflation.

The dollar fell on the more measured outlook for further hikes.
