ProTerra Foundation published an October 2, 2023 benchmark by Profundo comparing 20 voluntary soy standards and the FEFAC Soy Sourcing Guidelines against EU legal requirements. The report finds that 20 standards already go beyond the law on no-deforestation and no-conversion.
Certified soy with stronger standards may command easier EU market access, which could help European feed buyers source compliant meal at a manageable premium.
