Pakistan's rice exports are likely to reach a record in the year ending June as India's export curbs push buyers toward Islamabad. Pakistan is offering 5% broken rice at about $640 per ton, up from $465 a year earlier.
Indian export restrictions are redirecting demand to Pakistan and lifting global rice prices, and the higher prices may bolster Pakistan's foreign reserves.
