EIA data show US distillate product supplied fell over 6% from February to 3.67 million barrels per day in March, the lowest March level since 1998. The steepest ULSD futures contango since 2020 settled on the same day.
Weak distillate demand and a steep contango point to ample near-term supply, which weighs on diesel prices and may ease fuel costs for feed haulers.
