The EU Joint Research Centre's May MARS bulletin says EU yield forecasts were slightly revised down but remain above the 5-year average. Wet conditions in western Europe, Denmark and northern Italy caused waterlogging and sowing delays, while an April cold spell damaged fruit and vineyards.
EU crop yields staying above average limits upside for wheat, barley and corn prices, though wet weather in western Europe keeps some downside risk to feed grain supply.
