The EIA reported the national average diesel price rose 2 cents to $3.573 a gallon for the week of October 28 after a 7.8-cent drop the prior week. WTI crude was trading at $67.79, down from $71.78 a week earlier.
Diesel and crude both trended lower over the month, which lowers fuel surcharges and transport costs for feed supply chains. The weekly move is small.
