China's feed demand is forecast to recover slightly in 2024-25, reaching 286.5 million tonnes from 284.7 million. Corn use is expected to rise to 235 million tonnes as cheap corn replaces wheat and old-stock rice.
Imports are estimated at 20 million tonnes, 1 million below the September estimate.
Cheaper corn is pulling more feed and processing demand into the market, which supports corn use even though China is producing more of its own grain. Lower import needs cap the upside for overseas supplies.
