Grain markets largely shrugged off the October 11 WASDE, which had mildly negative numbers for corn. U.S. corn production was 30 million bushels above the trade average, and ending stocks were 1.999 billion bushels, 11 million above expectations.
China's corn import forecast was cut by 2 MMT to 19 MMT.
Corn ending stocks above trade expectations and a larger crop keep the bearish tilt in place. The reduction in China's import forecast lowers export demand, although the trade still sees the USDA import number as high.
