Brazil's real fell by the most in over two years to a record low of 6.3139 per dollar before closing down 2.9% at 6.2896. Stocks also fell as markets tested the government's spending plans and wide budget deficit.
Fiscal doubts driving the real lower make Brazilian exports cheaper, which can pressure global soybean meal and corn prices.
