PwC notes that the Council and Parliament agreed in December 2024 to postpone EUDR compliance by one year to December 30, 2025. The regulation covers cattle, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, rubber, soy and wood and their derived products.
The postponement is a brief respite for businesses that still need to prepare, so buyers of soy and palm oil should expect compliance requirements to tighten again in 2025.
