The International Grains Council raised its global grain production forecast for 2024/25 by 4.4 Mt to 2,306 Mt, driven mainly by higher Australian wheat. Its 2025/26 outlook also shows a large production increase with ending stocks rising 1.4 Mt.
Larger global supplies and higher ending stocks are bearish for grain prices, though adverse weather could still shift markets heading into the next season.
