USDA Secretary Rollins sent a letter to Mexico demanding removal of restrictions on USDA aircraft and customs duties on eradication equipment. She warned that USDA would restrict imports of live cattle, bison and equine from Mexico if the issues were not resolved by April 30.
The threatened import halt would cut a significant share of feeder cattle supply, creating upside risk for cattle prices until the dispute is settled.
