The EU's JRC MARS bulletin says winter crops remain generally resilient with good EU yield prospects and exceptionally high expectations in Spain, Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and the Baltics. Drought in parts of western and central Europe is weighing on spring and summer crops, while eastern Ukraine and Türkiye have seen significant winter crop losses.
Strong EU winter cereal yields add to export supply and tend to pressure wheat and barley prices, while drought in northern and central Europe limits upside for spring crops and feed grains.
