The EU Crop Monitoring Service raised its 2025 soft wheat yield forecast to 6.15 t/ha from 6.09 t/ha in July, 7% above the five-year average. It cut its corn yield estimate to 6.93 t/ha from 7.18 t/ha, while raising spring and winter barley forecasts.
A higher EU wheat yield adds supply and weighs on wheat prices, while the lower corn estimate reduces EU feed grain supply and supports corn prices.
