China exported a record 70,877 tonnes of soybean oil in October, mostly to India, after domestic demand weakened and processors built surplus stocks. Chinese commercial soyoil stocks exceeded 1 million tonnes, a seven-year high for mid-November.
Cheap Chinese soyoil flowing to India adds competition in the global vegetable oil market and reflects heavy crush-driven oil supply, which pressures soyoil and palm prices.
