The Malaysian Palm Oil Council says palm oil should stay rangebound at RM4,000 to RM4,300 per tonne in March. Malaysian January output fell 13.8% month-on-month while exports rose 11.4%, and inventories declined for the first time in nearly a year.
Higher exports and falling stocks offset rising substitute supply from soybean oil, so prices are likely to consolidate near current levels for feed and oils buyers.
