Mexico's corn imports rose 25% year on year to 1.9 million tons in January 2026, according to customs data. US white corn imports rose from 28,000 tons to 110,000 tons over the same period.
Producers in the Bajio, Chihuahua and Sinaloa regions are holding large unsold inventories.
