AHDB reports that UK end-of-season cereal stocks are lower than forecast in March for wheat, barley and oats. Wheat stocks are put at 1.919 Mt, the lowest end-June level since 2023, while oats are at 87 Kt, the lowest since 2012/13.
Bioethanol restart at Ensus and higher feed use are cited as drivers.
Tighter UK supplies and rising domestic and bioethanol demand raise the likelihood of more imports and firmer prices for feed grain buyers in the UK and Europe.
