CME cattle and lean hog futures firmed Tuesday on seasonal beef demand and tighter hog supplies from extreme heat. Feeder cattle fell limit-down Monday after USDA Secretary Rollins announced the lifting of the Mexican cattle import ban.
Heat stress reducing hog performance tightens pork supply, supporting hog prices and hog-feed demand, while the Mexican import decision adds supply to the feeder market.
