Grain futures showed signs of the recent rally tiring before finding support from the Treasury's plan to buy back government debt, which sent the dollar index lower. The Treasury said it would more than double repurchases of longer-dated notes and bonds after the 30-year yield hit its highest since 2007.
A weaker dollar and capital flowing into commodities could help grain prices absorb expected fall harvest pressure, making financial conditions a key price driver.
