ASSOCHAM estimates India could capture more than $1.5 billion in wheat export opportunities, citing record production, comfortable stocks and the gradual reopening of exports. The study also notes USDA projects global wheat output falling from 844 million tonnes to about 819 million in 2026-27.
A larger Indian export role could add supply later, but the study is a forecast rather than a shipment or policy change, so the near-term price effect is small.
