CoBank's Knowledge Exchange report warns that US grain storage and transport will be more complicated than usual this harvest, with space extraordinarily tight and fees higher. The report notes the bumper 21.5 billion bushel crop coincides with trade uncertainty over China.
Corn and wheat exports remain strong, while soybean and sorghum sales lag.
Storage shortages and higher handling fees can widen local basis and raise costs for feed buyers, while strong corn exports partly offset the bearish supply pressure.
