Malaysia's palm oil council says Malaysia may gain export share as Indonesia's B50 biodiesel mandate, launched recently, diverts more Indonesian palm oil to domestic use. The council estimates B50 needs about three million extra tonnes of palm oil annually, equal to 52% of Indonesia's 2025 output.
Lower Indonesian export availability tightens global palm oil supply and could lift prices, though competition from soybean oil will cap the effect.
