Indonesia targets full B50 biodiesel implementation from October 1, 2026, with national distribution reported at 80%. President Prabowo called the program a success, and the government is moving toward an E50 bioethanol program.
GAPKI said higher domestic absorption under B50 could trim exportable palm oil volumes by roughly 5 million tonnes.
A roughly 5 million tonne reduction in exportable palm oil is a material tightening of global supply, which supports palm oil prices and the vegetable oil complex.
