Most Ukrainian agricultural exporters have shifted to Danube river ports, trucks or rail as the Black Sea corridor underperforms. Inspections are slow, with 34 vessels awaiting inbound inspection and no new vessel registrations since June 4 other than one World Food Programme ship.
Slow inspections and rerouting raise costs and delay shipments, which tightens Ukrainian corn and wheat export availability and supports prices.
