Argentine agricultural traders are rushing to register export cargoes on the DJVE government register before the temporary tariff relief expires. Trading houses including Bunge, Cargill and Louis Dreyfus are logging the largest soy and corn volumes since the cut was introduced in January.
Exporters must bring in dollar proceeds nearly upon registration, ahead of the tariff rise.
The surge in registered sales pulls forward Argentine export supply of soy meal, soy oil and corn, which can weigh on near-term export availability and support world meal and oil prices until the rush ends.
