Argentina completed its 2024/25 soybean harvest at 50.3 million tonnes, up 100,000 tonnes year on year, per the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange. The corn crop was 61.7% harvested with production forecast at 49 million tonnes, and China reportedly chartered 30,000 tonnes of Argentine soymeal amid its tariff standoff with the US.
Completed Argentine harvest sizes add to global oilseed and corn supply, while Chinese purchases of Argentine meal signal some export demand that partly offsets bearish supply pressure.
