Abiove said Argentina's late-July export tax cut narrowed the tax gap between processed soy products and raw beans, slightly reducing the competitiveness of Argentine meal and oil. Argentina's grains chamber CIARA-CEC disputed that the change would affect crush competitiveness.
Argentina is expected to export 30 million tonnes of soymeal in 2025/26 versus 23.2 million from Brazil.
Brazilian meal and oil may gain share if Argentine processing loses some competitiveness, though the expected large Argentine meal exports keep world meal supply heavy.
