The USDA FAS Buenos Aires office kept its 2025/26 Argentine soybean production forecast at 48 MMT on 16.5 million hectares planted, after February rain stabilized crops following January dryness. It put soybean crush at 43 MMT and raised 2025/26 sunflowerseed production to 5.8 MMT, with record sunflower exports projected.
A steady soybean crop with strong crush keeps meal and oil supply firm, which limits downside in soymeal prices. Higher sunflower output adds some competing meal supply.
