Agritel forecasts France's 2017 wheat harvest at 36.64 million tonnes, up 33% from last year, at an average yield of 7.12 t/ha. The analyst rates quality as generally exceptionally good, with protein above 12% after a dry, hot end to the season.
A large French crop with good protein supports export availability and keeps European wheat values under pressure. High-protein wheat also supports feed-grade pricing for quality-sensitive buyers.
