FranceAgriMer raised its 2017-18 French soft wheat forecast to 37.8 million tonnes from 36.8 million in August, up 37.1% on 2016. The rapeseed forecast rose to 5.5 million tonnes, and the corn estimate was unchanged at 12.75 million tonnes.
A larger French wheat crop adds exportable supply in a market already well supplied, which is bearish for wheat prices and eases feed-grain costs for buyers.
