USDA's milk production report showed October output 1.4% above a year earlier, after September was up 1%. The September Class III price was $16.36 and October rose to $16.69, but CME butter fell from $2.65 in August to $2.21 by late November.
Rising milk output and falling butter and dry dairy product prices pressure Class III prices, with December possibly dropping below $16, which weakens dairy-sector demand for feed.
