Ukraine's wheat exports reached 5.47 million tons since the start of 2018/19 as of October 3, down 464 thousand tons year on year. Barley shipments were 2.15 million tons, down 920 thousand, and total Ukrainian grain exports were 9.31 million tons, 935 thousand less than last year.
Lower Ukrainian shipments so far this season leave more export business for Russia and others, a mildly supportive factor for wheat and barley prices.
