The UK average farm-gate milk price for November 2019 was 29.69 pence per litre, up 1.0% month on month but down 6.0% year on year. Butterfat rose to 4.30% and protein to 3.47%, while November volumes fell 2.2% from October to 1,167 million litres.
A small monthly price gain alongside lower volumes points to a tighter UK milk supply at the start of winter. The effect on feed demand is modest.
