India has resumed exports of major farm products including rice, meat, poultry and dairy, according to the agriculture ministry. The government is resolving transport, curfew pass and packaging problems and is issuing digital phytosanitary certificates.
Restarting rice exports from the largest exporter restores supply to world markets and eases the recent price pressure. The effect depends on how quickly shipments clear ports.
