Argentina's main farm groups held a 24-hour halt to grain and livestock trading to protest taxes, currency controls and diesel shortages. Grain trucks still reached Rosario port at normal levels, so shipments were not affected.
The government called for dialogue.
Because port flows were not disrupted, the strike has little direct effect on grain supply or prices. Risk remains if protests become prolonged and hit transport during the harvest.
