World food prices rise for seventh month in a row in December - World

The FAO reported world food prices rose for a seventh straight month in December, with the Food Price Index at 107.5 points, 2.2% above November. Vegetable oils gained 4.7% to their highest since 2012, and the cereal index rose 1.1% on crop concerns in North and South America and Russia.
