Vietnam's Plant Protection Department has proposed halting fertiliser exports after DAP prices rose sharply over three months. Producers attributed the rise to global DAP prices, higher sulphur and ammonia costs, and extra demand from China's maize and soybean expansion for feed.
A proposed Vietnamese export halt would remove supply from world DAP markets at a time when global phosphate is already tight, supporting higher international prices.
